Volunteers are used in lessons to provide support to our participants as they grow as riders. Side-walkers work with the student, while horse leaders help to guide and direct our equines. Additionally, lessons volunteers may support clients with prompting, communication support, mentorship and horsemanship.
Caring for 17 horses is no easy task! To ensure that our facility and horses have top-notch care, all volunteers support in the barn. During a typical volunteer shift, you may clean stalls, sweep aisles, groom horses and tack them for lessons. Those with horse experience may help feed, bring in or turn out horses and change blankets.
Farm volunteers help with special projects including mowing fields, painting fences, minor facility repairs, dragging arenas and more. Volunteers help our farm stay beautiful and ready for service.
